バイナリーオプションとは?

オプション(option)の普通の意味は、goo の英和辞典でひくと、選択の自由, 随意、英英辞典では、Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary では、

普通の用法では、

something that you can choose to have or do; the freedom to choose what you do

であり、和英辞典の訳とほぼ同じ。

これが、ファイナンス(Finance)用語となると、

A financial derivative that represents a contract sold by one party (option writer) to another party (option holder). The contract offers the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy (call) or sell (put) a security or other financial asset at an agreed-upon price (the strike price) during a certain period of time or on a specific date (exercise date).

Call options give the option to buy at certain price, so the buyer would want the stock to go up.
Put options give the option to sell at a certain price, so the buyer would want the stock to go down.

(簡約）ファイナンシャルデリバティブ（派生商品）の１種で、一方（甲）から他方（乙）に売られた契約で、契約の内容は、買手（乙）が、

＊株とか他のファイナンシャル資産（通貨、指標、商品など様々な国際的に取引金融資産）を、

＊一定の合意価格で、

＊一定の期限内か、特定日に、

買える(call コール）か売れる(put プット）権利を取得するもの（義務は無い）。

コール　オプションは、一定の価格で買える権利で、買手（乙）は、株が上がるだろうと期待。

プット　オプションは、一定の価格で売れる権利で、買い手（乙）は、株が下がるだろうと期待。

バイナリーオプション(Binary Option)　は、

A type of option in which the payoff is structured to be either a fixed amount of compensation if the option expires in the money, or nothing at all if the option expires out of the money.

（簡約）オプションの１種で、一定の支払い額が決まっており、もしオプションがイン・ザ・マネーで期限が過ぎれば、その支払いを受け、アウト・オブ・マネーで過ぎれば、何も得ない（ゼロ）。

インザマネー(in the money)で有効期限を迎えるオプションは、有効期限を迎えた時点でオプションについての条件を完全に満たしているもののことを意味します。「インザマネー」で有効期限を迎えるオプションには次のような例があります。

高／低オプション(High/Low)：　オプションでは、有効期限を迎えた時点で、目標価格を上回っている場合、低オプションでは、有効期限迎えた時点で、標価格を下回っている場合です。

ワンタッチオプション(One Touch)：　タッチオプションでは、有効期限を迎えるまえに目標価格に届くか、あるいはそれを上回った場合、自動的に一定額が支払われます。ノータッチオプションでは、有効期限が終了するまで一度も目標価格に届かない場合です。

境界オプション(Boundary)：　イン境界オプションでは、有効期限終了時に、目標価格帯に入っている場合、アウト境界オプションでは、目標価格帯に入っていない場合です。

アウトオブザマネー(out of the money)で有効期限を修了するオプションは、以上の条件を満たしていないオプションです。
